Bethany Powell and Stefan Durham have been teaching and performing swing and vintage jazz dancing since 2005. In that time they've traveled throughout the U.S. and overseas to help honor and share their general love of partner dance and their specific enthusiasm for Lindy Hop, the original American swing dance which first emerged in black dance halls in the 1920s before gaining massive global popularity throughout the following 100 years, spawning dozens of imitators and offshoots. Bethany and Stefan enjoy introducing beginning and advanced students alike to techniques that feel real and natural in the body and make it easy to connect and improvise with a partner on the dance floor
