Kim Bernard has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga since 2008 and completed her RYS 200 Teacher Training in 2011. She began studying dance as a child and has continued into to move ever since. Kim has studied and taught martial arts and self defense and has had a lifelong passion for learning ethnic dance i.e. African, Greek, Salsa and belly dance.
As an artist Kim creates sculpture that is recycled, kinetic, interactive, public and involves the community. She creates installations upcycled out of trash and is currently focusing on transforming plastic waste into sculpture using her portable recycling machines. Kim mentors emerging artists individually and teaches professional development to artists nationally.
