
Teresa Carey
Teresa has been dancing since a very young age at two Northern Michigan Dance Council studios. She studied dance at the University of Michigan, Hope College, Hubbard Street Dance in Chicago, and more. As a scholarship recipient, Teresa spent several years training at the acclaimed American Dance Festival — which is considered the international home for modern dance. When Teresa taught dance at boarding schools, focusing on establishing and growing dance programs. She has instructed at Lake Placid Center for the Arts, taught dance workshops for adults with cancer and chronic illnesses, and coached an award-winning dance team at The Knox School on Long Island. Teresa’s work is described as having an energized and flowing engagement with formalism in modern and jazz dance.
